WINNIPEG, Jan. 18, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - VIA Rail Canada wishes to advise travellers that the southbound departure of train 692, due to leave Churchill for Winnipeg Tuesday evening, January 17, has been significantly delayed due to mechanical and weather-related issues.
The train is currently expected to leave Churchill today, Wednesday, January 18, at noon CST. The train may make up some of the lost time en route, but is nonetheless expected to arrive and leave late at all en route stations.
VIA wishes to apologize for any inconvenience this disruption may cause to its passengers.
Customers wishing further information or to reserve a ticket may call 1 888-VIA RAIL (842-7245). Bookings may also be made online at viarail.ca. Prior to travel, passengers are advised to call 1 888-842-6348 to determine the on-time status of specific trains in northern Manitoba only.
