Media Advisory - Library and Archives Canada and the LAC Foundation Celebrate the 2025 LAC Scholar Awards Recipients Français
GATINEAU, QC, Oct. 14, 2025 /CNW/ - Library and Archives Canada (LAC) and the LAC Foundation invite members of the media to attend the 2025 Library and Archives Canada Scholar Awards ceremony. Five recipients will be recognized for their outstanding contributions to the creation and promotion of our country's culture, literary heritage and historical knowledge.
Date: Wednesday, October 22, 2025
Time: 6 pm – 8 pm (Eastern Daylight Time)
Place: Library and Archives Canada, 395 Wellington Street, Ottawa, Ontario
The recipients for 2025 are:
- Danny Ramadan, author and LGBTQ+ refugee activist
- Gabrielle Boulianne-Tremblay, actress, writer, screenwriter and advocate for transgender rights
- Margaret MacMillan, historian and professor
- Rupi Kaur, poet, performer and author
- Tomson Highway, playwright, novelist, pianist and composer
