TORONTO, Sept. 4, 2012 /CNW/ - Bell Media announced today that it will celebrate fashion and philanthropy as the official media sponsor and broadcaster of the 25th anniversary of M•A•C Viva Glam Fashion Cares, taking place this Sunday, Sept. 9 in Toronto. In its final year, this spectacular event benefitting the AIDS Committee of Toronto (ACT) and Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF) features performances by Sir Elton John, Scissor Sisters, Janelle Monáe, Sky Ferreira, and Canadian artists Shawn Desman, Jully Back, and Kreesha Turner.
Then, on World Aids Day, Saturday, Dec. 1 at 8 p.m. ET, M•A•C Viva Glam Fashion Cares honorary board member and FTC host Jeanne Beker chronicles the evolution of this iconic fundraising event, from its inception to present day in the Original Special FASHION CARES 25: A NIGHT OF STYLE AND STARS. Airing on E! and FashionTelevisionChannel (FTC) and to be filmed at Sunday night's M•A•C Viva Glam Fashion Cares gala, the special includes a 25-year retrospective of the event's show-stopping and memorable moments along with interviews with stars and designers, A-list performances, and exclusive backstage access into the social event of the season.

At Sunday night's M•A•C Viva Glam Fashion Cares gala,Canadian design duo Dean and Dan Caten of DSQUARED2 along with Canadian supermodel, Linda Evangelista make appearances along with extravagant runway presentations by acclaimed designers Vivienne Westwood, Greta Constantine, Pink Tartan, DSQUARED2 and 25 local and international designers. Tickets for the gala at Toronto's Sony Centre for the Performing Arts are still available and can be purchased through Ticketmaster.
