A First Nations' Railroad Blockade in the Marysville Area Forces VIA Rail to Stop Trains in the Montreal-Ottawa-Toronto Section Français
MONTREAL, Dec. 30, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - VIA Rail Canada has announced that due to a First Nations' railroad blockade in the Marysville area many trains in the Montreal-Ottawa-Toronto section are presently stopped. Approximately 2,000 passengers are presently stranded as a result.
We are informed that this blockade should last two to three hours, with no certainty and could be over momentarily. VIA Rail is keeping in touch with the authorities and will update with further information as soon as possible.
