MONTRÉAL, July 19, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - VIA Rail Canada (VIA Rail) wishes to inform its passengers that its train service has resumed between Toronto and Ottawa, as well as between Toronto and Montreal, in both directions. Following yesterday's derailment of a CN freight train, VIA Rail's service on these routes was interrupted and alternate transportation was offered to its passengers onboard en-route trains.
Delays are expected throughout the day due to imposed speed restrictions on the site and possible railway congestion.
