Toronto Hydro Corporation to sell $200 million aggregate principal amount of senior unsecured debentures (Series 11)


TORONTO, March 9, 2015 /CNW/ - Toronto Hydro Corporation (the "Corporation") announced today that it has agreed to sell $200 million principal amount of senior unsecured debentures due July 28, 2045 (Series 11) that will bear interest at the rate of 3.55% per year.

The Series 11 Debentures are being sold on an agency basis under the Corporation's shelf prospectus program through a syndicate co-led by CIBC World Markets Inc. and RBC Dominion Securities Inc. The syndicate also includes BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc., TD Securities Inc. and National Bank Financial Inc.

The net proceeds from the sale of the Series 11 Debentures will be used to repay certain existing indebtedness of the Corporation and for general corporate purposes.

The Series 11 Debentures have not been and will not be registered in the United States under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, and may not be offered, sold or delivered in the United States or to U.S. Persons absent registration or applicable exemption from the registration requirement of such Act.
