Thirteen winning MAXMILLIONS tickets sold in Ontario

TORONTO, Dec. 21, 2013 /CNW/ - It will be an extra special holiday season for many Ontarians. While the winning ticket for $50 Million LOTTO MAX jackpot for the Friday, December 20 draw was sold in Western Canada, there were lots of prize winning tickets sold in Ontario including 13 winning MAXMILLIONS prizes.

  • The thirteen MAXMILLIONS tickets were sold in:
    • Brantford, worth $1 million
    • Hamilton, worth $1 million
    • Milton, worth $1 million
    • North Bay, worth $1 million
    • Two tickets in Ottawa, worth $1 million each
    • Pickering, worth $1 million
    • Two tickets in Toronto, worth $1 million each
    • Windsor, worth $1 million
    • Barrie, worth $500,000 (shared with a ticket sold in another province)
    • Windsor, worth $500,000 (shared with a ticket sold in another province)
    • Ottawa, worth $333,333 (shared with two tickets sold in other provinces)

  • Two tickets, both sold in Mississauga, shared in the second prize pool with two tickets sold in another province. These tickets are worth $231,287 each.

  • Four ENCORE tickets, worth $100,000 each, were sold in:
    • Cornwall
    • Hamilton
    • Markham
    • Thunder Bay

Since its launch in September 2009, Ontario LOTTO MAX players have won over $1.9 billion in prizes, including 31 jackpot wins and 189 winning MAXMILLIONS tickets from all across the province.

For each $5 play, LOTTO MAX players receive three sets of seven numbers ranging from one to forty-nine. Players must match all seven numbers, in any one set, to win the jackpot and the MAXMILLIONS prizes.

Next week's LOTTO MAX jackpot will be an estimated $41 million.
