MONTREAL, Dec. 12, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - As part of its expansion plans into Toronto, Richter has joined with SBLR LLP ("SBLR"), a boutique financial advisory firm. Through this merger, the newly rebranded Richter will be adding over 40 team members to its existing complement of over 400 employees in Montreal.
Over the past 86 years, the growth and success of Richter's clients has given them the opportunity to evolve and become a dominant financial advisory and strategic accounting firm. Richter and SBLR share similar entrepreneurial cultures that provide businesses with practical advice making them a leading financial advisory firm in the Montreal and Toronto markets. This merger comes at a time when businesses are operating in an increasingly complex environment that requires an ability to quickly adapt to changing market conditions.
"We have a deep understanding of our clients' businesses and their unique challenges; we have evolved together, often through many generations, and we have become an extension of their business. This expansion is very promising to our clients and to the entrepreneurial businesses who deserve more engaged, more embedded and more practical advisory services," says Tasso Lagios, National Managing Partner, Richter.
"We operate with a unique mindset and we found that we are completely aligned with Richter in every aspect of our culture and business," adds Mitch Silverstein, Partner, Richter (also a founding partner of SBLR). "With our shared approach in servicing clients with excellence, we will further enhance our clients' experience by providing more depth and breadth to our services."
The expansion into Toronto coincides with the firm's recent rebranding. Richter's new brand is designed to represent its identity. "Our rebranding is more than an aesthetic change; it respects our legacy and our accomplishments, and it explains our progress while shaping the future we envision for ourselves," explains Tasso Lagios.
