Aviation partners raise safety awareness as drone sales expected to soar

With drone sales expected to soar during the holiday season, Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is teaming up with aviation partners to launch a safety campaign. Members of the media are invited to hear from YVR, Transport Canada, London Air Services, RCMP and Unmanned Systems Canada about why flying a drone near an airport is a bad idea.

Media wishing to attend must RSVP with name and outlet by 8 a.m. on December 15 to media_relations@yvr.ca.  As this event is taking place in an airport hangar, media must supply valid government-issued photo identification.
