/R E P E A T -- Media Advisory - Ontario Nurses' Association Members Celebrate Pride/
TORONTO, June 29, 2012 /CNW/ - Ontario Nurses' Association (ONA) Vice-President Andy Summers, RN will join registered nurses from the Toronto area this weekend to march in Toronto's 32nd annual Gay Pride Parade.
The nurses, members of ONA, will march with their families, friends and ONA staff to celebrate diversity and to show solidarity with Ontario's Lesbian/Gay//Bisexual/Transgendered communities. The theme of this year's parade is Celebrate & Demonstrate.
Watch for ONA members waving the flag at this year's parade, which begins at 2 pm at Bloor and Church streets.
ONA is the union representing 59,000 front-line RNs and allied health professionals and more than 13,000 nursing student affiliates providing care in Ontario hospitals, long-term care facilities, public health, the community, industry and clinics.
