/R E P E A T -- Media Advisory - Ontario Nurses' Association Members Celebrate Pride/

TORONTO, June 29, 2012 /CNW/ - Ontario Nurses' Association (ONA) Vice-President Andy Summers, RN will join registered nurses from the Toronto area this weekend to march in Toronto's 32^nd annual Gay Pride Parade.

The nurses, members of ONA, will march with their families, friends and ONA staff to celebrate diversity and to show solidarity with Ontario's Lesbian/Gay//Bisexual/Transgendered communities. The theme of this year's parade is Celebrate & Demonstrate.

Watch for ONA members waving the flag at this year's parade, which begins at 2 pm at Bloor and Church streets.

ONA is the union representing 59,000 front-line RNs and allied health professionals and more than 13,000 nursing student affiliates providing care in Ontario hospitals, long-term care facilities, public health, the community, industry and clinics.
