MONTREAL, Aug. 15, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - The Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society of Canada invites Quebecers to contribute to its annual fundraising and MS awareness campaign, which A&W Food Services of Canada Inc. (TSE: AW.UN) has proudly supported for the past five years.
"Since the launch of the annual A&W Rendez-vous to end MS national campaign, over 3,3 million dollars have been raised to fund MS research and services offered to those who must cope with this disease," said Louis Adam, Executive Director of the Québec Division of the MS Society of Canada. "People suffering from multiple sclerosis must live with this illness 24/7. On Thursday, August 22, the public will have 24 hours to act and make a difference in the lives of the estimated 20,000 MS sufferers across Québec. It's a rendez-vous in one of the 100 A&W restaurants in the province!"
Many ways to support the MS Society of Canada
On Thursday, August 22, for each Teen Burger sold in Canada, A&W will give $1.00 to the MS Society of Canada, a leader in the search for a cure for multiple sclerosis. As part of A&W Rendez-vous to end MS, several participating A&W restaurants will also be organizing various fundraising activities, such as games, prizes and raffles, and even visits from the Great Root Bear!
But that's not all! Starting now and until August 22, 2013:
- Tweet #CruisinForaCause or #RendezVousSP and A&W will donate $1.00 to the MS Society of Canada.
- Confirm your participation on the A&W Rendez-vous to end MS Facebook page and A&W will donate $1.00 to the MS Society of Canada.
- Make a donation at rendezvoussp.ca.
- Purchase a donation cut out or contribute to a collection mug at any A&W restaurant.
