OTTAWA, ON, Nov. 5, 2025 /CNW/ - Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada, will undertake a visit to Toronto, Ontario, from November 6 to 8, 2025, during the Remembrance period.
Throughout the visit, she will participate in activities honouring Canadian veterans, particularly recognizing the contributions and sacrifices of Indigenous veterans on Indigenous Veterans Day. The program will also provide opportunities for Her Excellency to engage with residents and community members in Toronto.

Viewing of the Treaty 9 display with the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario
The Governor General will join the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario to view the Treaty 9 display in the Lieutenant Governor's Suite at the Legislative Building at Queen's Park. This temporary exhibit is a collaboration between the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, the Mushkegowuk Council, the Archives of Ontario, and Queen's University Archives.

Visit with veterans at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre
The Governor General will participate in recreational therapy activities with veterans at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. She will join residents to bake cookies, learn more about the facility, and share in meaningful conversations with the veterans who call the centre home.
