Media Advisory - Government of Canada to boost aerial firefighting capacity to protect communities from wildfires Français
WINNIPEG, MB, Nov. 28, 2025 /CNW/ - Members of the media are invited to join Anthony Housefather, Parliamentary Secretary to the Honourable Eleanor Olszewski, Minister of Emergency Management and Community Resilience and Minister responsible for Prairies Economic Development Canada, for a press conference to highlight investment to lease aircraft that will bolster provincial and territorial aerial firefighting capacity and protect Canadians from increasingly severe wildfires.
Parliamentary Secretary Housefather will be joined by Minister Ian Bushie, Manitoba Minister of Natural Resources and Indigenous Futures.
Following their remarks, the Parliamentary Secretary Housefather and Minister Bushie will take questions from the media.
