TORONTO, Jan. 11, 2014 /CNW/ - The days may be cold, but LOTTO MAX is heating up! The LOTTO MAX draw on Friday, January 17, 2014 will offer an estimated $50 million jackpot plus an estimated 12 MAXMILLIONS prizes of $1 million each.
While there were no winning MAXMILLIONS tickets from last night's draw, a ticket sold in Toronto is sharing part of the second prize pool with two tickets sold in British Columbia. These tickets are each worth $178,603.10. Also ENCORE tickets, worth $100,000 each, were sold in North Bay and Peterborough.
Since its launch in September 2009, Ontario LOTTO MAX players have won over $1.9 billion in prizes, including 32 jackpot wins and 189 winning MAXMILLIONS tickets from all across the province.
For each $5 play, LOTTO MAX players receive three sets of seven numbers ranging from one to forty-nine. Players must match all seven numbers, in any one set, to win the jackpot and the MAXMILLIONS prizes.
Players can purchase tickets at authorized OLG retailers until 9 p.m. Friday, January 17, 2014 for the draw that evening.
