MONTREAL, Oct. 30, 2012 /CNW Telbec/ - VIA Rail Canada advises Canadian travelers that, today, its trains are operating according to the regular schedule, including in Southwestern Ontario and in Eastern Quebec. Due to weather conditions, VIA Rail advises affected Canadians to use caution when traveling. Information on routes will be updated regularly on viarail.ca.
However, routes served by Amtrak, VIA Rail's partner in the United States, have been affected by the storm. The Montréal-New York train was cancelled today, and the train that departed Toronto to New York City at 8:20 a.m. will only travel as far as Albany, New York.
