The speech will outline the next steps for Canada's high-speed rail project, including upcoming public consultations
MONTRÉAL, Jan. 9, 2026 /CNW/ - Members of the media are invited to attend a keynote address by Martin Imbleau, President and Chief Executive Officer of Alto, at the Ottawa Board, where he will provide an update on the Toronto–Québec City high-speed rail project and outline the next phase of public consultations launching later this month.
This is an in-person event and will take place on Monday, January 12, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Mr. Imbleau will set out what comes next for Alto, including the rationale for selecting the Montréal–Ottawa segment as the first phase of the project to be built, and how public consultations will help shape alignment and station decisions.
Following his remarks, Mr. Imbleau will participate in a fireside discussion with Ms. Sueling Ching, President and CEO of the Ottawa Board of Trade.
