200 Wellesley St. E. tenants asked to register for updates
TORONTO, Sept. 30 /CNW/ - Tenants displaced by the fire at 200 Wellesley St. E. are asked to register with Toronto Community Housing to receive important information updates.
Tenants can register by calling the Toronto Community Housing tenant hotline at 416-981-5520 or by visiting the Wellesley Community Centre at 495 Sherbourne St. Tenants with Internet access can also register by e-mailing [email protected].
When tenants call or e-mail, they should provide their first and last name, their unit number, the phone number where they can be reached, their e-mail address and any other pertinent information like special needs and language preference.
Registering is especially important for tenants who are staying off site with family and friends and have not had the opportunity to inform Toronto Community Housing where they are staying and how they can be reached. This is the best way for tenants to ensure they receive the latest information about continuing efforts to support displaced tenants and get them back home as soon as possible.
Toronto Community Housing is Canada's largest social housing provider and home to more than 164,000 tenants, about 6% of the city's population, with low and moderate incomes. Toronto Community Housing employs 1,400 staff in a broad range of jobs who deliver its mandate to provide quality housing and build great neighbourhoods. Toronto Community Housing is one of Canada's 2010 Top 100 Employers.
