YUL'S P4 PARKING FACILITY BECOMES THE FIRST AIRPORT INFRASTRUCTURE IN CANADA TO ACHIEVE ENVISION-VERIFIED CERTIFICATION

MONTRÉAL, Sept. 28, 2026 /CNW/ -- ADM Aéroports de Montréal is proud to announce that the P4 parking facility at YUL Montréal-Trudeau International Airport has earned Envision Verified certification, an internationally recognized distinction awarded by the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure (ISI).
The P4 parking facility becomes the first airport infrastructure project and the first parking facility in Canada to receive this distinction.
Opened in February 2024, the P4 parking facility is one of the first projects completed under Flight Plan, YUL's extensive infrastructure modernization program. Achieved following an assessment of 64 sustainability and resilience criteria, the Envision-Verified certification recognizes the integration of responsible and innovative practices throughout every stage of the project.

The Envision framework evaluates infrastructure projects using criteria related to quality of life, stakeholder engagement, sustainable resource management, energy efficiency, climate resilience and environmental protection.
Throughout the project, several measures were integrated to reduce the environmental impact of the P4 parking facility, including:
- the installation of rooftop photovoltaic panels;
- the addition of a partially green roof;
- reduced building energy consumption;
- the integration of measures promoting intermodality and user mobility, including a shuttle service connecting the parking facility to the terminal and a parking guidance system indicating available spaces;
- the implementation of sustainable stormwater management measures;
- the diversion of nearly 90% of construction waste from landfill;
- a modular concrete structure providing an extended service life and enhanced resilience to climate-related risks;
- an adaptable design allowing for the future conversion of the building to other uses.
