Xplornet Announces Expansion in Fredericton

Will Add 55 new Jobs to Local Economy

WOODSTOCK, NB, July 11, 2012 /CNW/ - At a media conference held today in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Xplornet Communications Inc. announced that it is adding 55 new employees to its Fredericton Customer Care Centre in 2012.

Xplornet is Canada's leading rural high-speed service provider.  Headquartered in Woodstock, New Brunswick, Xplornet's expansion of its Fredericton location will increase the number of full-time staff there by 34%, to 215.  Xplornet is creating new sales and service positions to keep up with demand for its services. Recent milestones, including the successful launch last week of the EchoStar XVII broadband satellite on which Xplornet has purchased 100% of the Canadian capacity solely to deliver broadband to Canadians in rural or remote regions, mean growth for Xplornet and growth in its capacity to create jobs in New Brunswick.  The expansion of Xplornet's Fredericton Customer Care Centre was also assisted by the support of Invest New Brunswick.
