Victoria Dentist Announces Participation in Dentistry from the Heart Event

VICTORIA, April 20, 2015 /CNW/ - Academy Dental, an award-winning dental practice in Victoria, recently announced their participation in Dentistry from the Heart on April 27, 2015. By partaking in this event, dental offices donate their services to patients with no access to dentistry and those who cannot afford dentistry for themselves and their families. Participation in this event is in line with Academy Dental's total commitment to community, and has led to them repeatedly being named one of the best dentists in Victoria.

The Dentistry from the Heart event will take place on April 27, 2015 from 8:00am-4:00pm and is offered on a first-come-first-served basis. Patients are able to receive complimentary cleanings, fillings, or tooth extractions. "This event will take place at Academy Dental's Fort Street and Sooke locations and adults and children are welcome," said Dr. Rachel Staples, one of the dentists at Academy Dental, "2015 marks the third consecutive year of participation for our Victoria dental office, which is so thrilling!" In 2013, they successfully donated $35,000 in services and in 2014, they donated $42,000.

Dentistry from the Heart was started in 2001 by Florida dentist, Dr. Vincent J. Monticciolo. It has grown into a world-class event with more than 300 events per year in the United States, Canada, Ireland, Australia, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, and New Zealand.
