VIA arranging for alternate transportation for confirmed passengers

CP has indicated to VIA that the rail line will not reopen to any train traffic today, and that repair work may in fact continue into Friday.
Hence, VIA has put special arrangements in place for customers with confirmed reservations to travel on its Ottawa-Kingston-Toronto route, in either direction, and until further notice. No new reservations are being accepted for trains on this route in either direction for today or tomorrow.
VIA's westbound trains between Ottawa and Toronto are being replaced by motorcoach service.
VIA's eastbound trains between Toronto and Ottawa will terminate in Brockville and passengers will be carried by motorcoach from Brockville to Ottawa.
VIA will continue to make every effort to minimize any impact on its customers travel plans; however, delays of an hour or more are possible.
Passengers choosing not to travel may opt for a full refund or change of reservation with no service charges.
Passengers are advised to call 1 888 VIA RAIL (1 888 842-7245) or visit viarail.ca for more information.
