Travel Advisory - VIA's Services Between Montreal and Toronto Affected By
Freight Derailment - Trains Re-routed via Ottawa - Expect Delays
MONTREAL, March 2 /CNW Telbec/ - VIA Rail Canada wishes to advise travellers that all trains between Montreal and Toronto are affected by a CN freight derailment which occurred this afternoon near Morrisburg, Ontario, east of Brockville.
Trains will be re-routed via Ottawa. Average delays of 2 to 3 hours should be expected.
Passengers may opt for a full refund or change of reservation with no service charges.
VIA has not yet received confirmation on a time for line clearance and is unsure if this derailment will affect trains tomorrow.
