TORONTO, Dec. 2, 2014 /CNW/ - Toronto philanthropist Andrew Faas shares lessons on leadership and workplace mental health in his book entitled "The Bully's Trap."
Officially released in hardcover last month, the 260 page book is an amalgam of leadership lessons from Faas' time as a corporate executive over the past 40 years.
"I was accused of being a bully at times, and I learned the hard way the impact this had on colleagues, says Faas. "The Bully's Trap" provides comprehensive and provocative insight into the dynamics, impacts, and costs of bullying in the workplace and answers how it can be prevented and stopped.
"This year we have seen countless examples that workplace bullying is becoming an epidemic in major corporations if not addressed and dealt with," says Faas.
Faas recently gifted $1 Million to CAMH, the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, to assist Canada's leading hospital for mental health in developing new educational programs to create psychologically healthier workplaces.
Proceeds from Faas' book will go to his foundation for mental health initiatives.
