Thunderchild First Nation launches Thunderchild Energy Services Inc.
CALGARY, March 28, 2019 /CNW/ - Thunderchild First Nation ("TCFN") is pleased to announce the launch of Thunderchild Energy Services Inc. ("TCES"), an Indigenous majority-owned energy services company based in Calgary, AB. TCES focuses on best-practises in the full life-cycle of environmental and engineering services, including asset retirement and remediation services, for the western Canadian energy sector.
The launch of Thunderchild Energy Services is underpinned with the acquisition of 70 percent of X-Terra Environmental Services Ltd. ("X-Terra"). The X-Terra acquisition provides TCES with the operating base to expand its business strategy in environmental assessment, permitting, regulatory compliance monitoring and remediation. X-Terra and its existing management team will continue to operate under the name X-Terra Environmental Services Ltd. X-Terra's history of exceptional client service and environmental services expertise is a welcome addition to Thunderchild Energy Services.
