Threshold Financial Technologies Inc. and FICANEX Services Offer Innovative ATM Partner Program Across Canada

MISSISSAUGA, ON, June 20, 2013 /CNW/ - Threshold Financial Technologies Inc. (Threshold) is providing an opportunity for financial institutions to expand their ATM presence across Canada by offering an innovative solution created in partnership with FICANEX Services Limited Partnership, for Members of THE EXCHANGE® Network.  The ATM Partner Program is fully managed by Threshold and provides a unique opportunity for Member financial institutions to place ATMs in off-premise locations, without the associated capital expenditure, operating expenses and administrative overhead.

Threshold is a full service integrated solution provider of payments processing and ATM managed services to financial institutions and corporate retail clients.  Threshold is also the Central Switch Provider for THE EXCHANGE® Network, which is comprised of nearly 200 financial institutions and 2,500 ATMs across Canada.

The units are co-branded with THE EXCHANGE® Network and the financial institution placing the unit, providing THE EXCHANGE® Member cardholders with access to surcharge-free ATMs across Canada.  The program is open to all Members, regardless of their transaction processing provider, and allows them to establish a presence outside of their branches by building their brand within the local communities.  Establishing a more prominent network and offering Members' cardholders greater access to surcharge-free funds as well as other types of transactions, including PIN change, are all key benefits of the program.

British Columbia-based G&F Financial Group was the first to implement the ATM Partner Program when they were awarded a contract for three ATMs for the City of Burnaby, providing convenient ATM access for city employees, citizens, and visitors. Your Credit Union has received very positive feedback about the two Partner Program ATMs installed six months ago at a local community hospital in Cornwall, Ontario.  Several more community-based placements have been made in recent months.  Meridian Credit Union has recently situated units at three college campuses in the Greater Toronto Area.
