1,000 Canadians can sign up to receive 2013 holiday red cups before they launch in-store, November 2nd
TORONTO, Oct. 16, 2013 /CNW/ - For many Canadians the arrival of Starbucks iconic red cup is the symbolic start to festive season. This year, for the first time ever, Starbucks Canada has reserved 1,000 red cups that will be made exclusively available for Canadian fans to pre-order and receive before they become widely available in stores.
Newly designed, and only available in a limited quantity before they officially arrive in stores November 2, this year marks the first time Starbucks Canada has made holiday red cups available for pre-order shipment before its annual holiday launch date. Beginning today and running until October 19th, Canadians can visit www.starbucksredcups.ca to register to receive one of only 1,000 Starbucks® red cups to be shipped to homes before they're available in stores.
"Each year, the day our holiday red cups launch, we see a flurry of excitement online and in-store from Canadian Starbucks fans," says Richard Burjaw, vice-president, marketing, Starbucks Canada. "That's why we're so excited to be able to share this year's Starbucks® red cup with a number of Canadians, making them amongst the first to receive this year's cups before they become widely available. It's just one of the ways we want to celebrate the excitement our Canadian fans have for the holidays at Starbucks."
There are 250 Starbucks® 2013 holiday red cups available each day for four days starting October 16, 2013, until October 19, 2013. Ordering will open each day at 12:00PM Eastern Standard Time and will close once the daily 250 maximum is reached.
The Starbucks® 2013 holiday red cups will officially arrive in stores on November 2nd and will be joined by returning Starbucks® handcrafted holiday beverages, including: Starbucks® Peppermint Mocha Latte, Starbucks® Caramel Brûlé Latte, Starbucks® Gingerbread Latte and Starbucks® Eggnog Latte. Customers will also find Starbucks seasonal packaged coffee and iconic holiday food favourites, plus an assortment of holiday gifts for virtually anyone on your list.
