SCHENECTADY, N.Y., May 6, 2013 /CNW/ - SI Group, Inc. today announced Frank A. Bozich as its new President and Chief Executive Officer, effective May 28, 2013. Mr. Bozich succeeds Stephen J. Large, who recently announced his retirement concluding a successful tenure as President and CEO of the company.

Mr. Bozich comes to SI Group after serving as President of BASF's Catalysts Division, a global market supplier of environmental and process catalysts. Previously, he held other strategic leadership positions within BASF, including Group Vice President, Precious and Base Metal Services, and Group Vice President, Integration Management Office.
Prior to BASF, Mr. Bozich was Group Vice President, Enterprise Technologies and Ventures at Engelhard Corporation, which was acquired by BASF in 2006. He has held leadership positions at Rohm and Haas, now a wholly owned subsidiary of The Dow Chemical Company, and Croda Adhesives, Inc. He also founded Apex Adhesives, which was sold to Croda in 1993.

Mr. Bozich holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Chicago, as well as a master's degree in chemistry from the University of Illinois.
