GLENGARRY, ON, Sept. 10, 2026 /CNW/ -- On August 21, 2026, RCMP Federal Policing – Central Region's Integrated National Security Enforcement Team (INSET) in Ottawa executed two search warrants in the region of Glengarry, ON. The RCMP took necessary enforcement action following information they received of a potential threat to the population. This included the arrest of a youth who cannot be identified pursuant to the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA). At this time, there is no known threat to public safety.
As the matter is currently before the court and due to the age of the young person, the RCMP cannot provide any further comment.
This is a reminder to all, the importance of reporting suspicious activity or behaviors that can potentially cause a threat to public safety.
