Media Advisory - RCMP to hold press conference following three arrests and large-scale drug seizure in the Golden Horseshoe

HAMILTON, ON, Aug. 5, 2026 /CNW/ -- The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and its partners with the Golden Horseshoe Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU) will hold a press conference to announce the results of an investigation that led to the arrest of three individuals and the seizure of a significant quantity of illicit drugs in the Golden Horseshoe region of southern Ontario.

Superintendent Jonathan Ko, Officer in Charge of GTA Integrated Operations, Inspector Lucio De Simone, Officer in Charge of the Golden Horseshoe CFSEU, and Deputy Chief Ryan Diodati of the Hamilton Police Service, will provide details regarding the investigation, arrests, and drug seizure. They will be joined by representatives from the Canada Border Services Agency, Ontario Provincial Police, Brantford Police Service and the Niagara Regional Police Service.
