RAFAEL LOZANO-HEMMER UNVEILS FIRST PERMANENT PUBLIC ARTWORK IN CANADA AT TORONTO'S WATERFRONT
TORONTO, May 29, 2026 /CNW/ - Members of the media are invited to attend the official unveiling of Unfinished Arch, a striking new interactive public artwork by internationally acclaimed artist Rafael Lozano-Hemmer at Sherbourne Common.
The nine-metre-tall installation cantilevers dramatically from a single point in the ground and comes to life when visitors touch its floating edge, triggering an illuminated response. The unveiling marks Lozano-Hemmer's first permanent public artwork in Canada and introduces a major new cultural landmark to Toronto's East Bayfront.
Media will have the opportunity to capture the artwork, hear from the artist and project partners, and gather brief post event comments as available.
