Roach, President and Chief Executive Officer of CGI, and Marc Parent, President and Chief Executive Officer of CAE, as well as the president and executive director of Centraide of Greater Montreal, Lili-Anna Pereša.
Donors, volunteers, community agency spokespersons and people who will be helped with the proceeds will participate in the closing event of this vast campaign of caring and solidarity that was launched on October 1.
Centraide's campaign aims to alleviate poverty and support vulnerable people in disadvantaged communities in Montreal, in Laval and on the South Shore. It must be remembered that one person in eight in Greater Montreal, and one person in four on Montreal Island, lives under the low income cut-off.

Centraide's 2013 campaign was conducted in over 1,800 organizations and among the general public under the theme "Giving brightens lives." Some 23,000 volunteers raised donations from individuals and corporations to support a network of 369 agencies in Greater Montreal.
The proceeds will allow these agencies to work all year at brightening the daily lives of 500,000 vulnerable and excluded people. Food and housing assistance, support for early-childhood development and academic perseverance, integration services for immigrants and people with disabilities, and accompaniment for isolated seniors and people with mental health problems are among the services the agencies will offer thanks to the generosity of donors.
