/R E P E A T -- Invitation to the news media - Gold-Headed Cane/

MONTREAL , Jan. 2 /CNW Telbec/ - Ms. Sylvie Vachon , President and Chief Executive Officer of the MPA, invites the media to the awarding of the 171st Gold-Headed Cane to Captain Steven Lloyd , Master of the containership OOCL Belgium , the first ocean-going vessel to reach the Port of Montreal without a stopover in 2010.

The ceremony will take place on Monday, January 4 , at 11:00 a.m. , at the Montreal Port Authority Building, 2100 Pierre-Dupuy Avenue, Wing 1, in the presence of representatives of the marine industry and the Montreal business community.

Ms. Vachon will meet with the media after the ceremony. She will be available for interviews.
