EDMONTON, July 17, 2015 /CNW/ - The Gentlemen Plumbers will be donating $2300.00 to the Little Warriors, a national charity based in Edmonton that is committed to the awareness, prevention and treatment of child sexual abuse.
Earlier this year, The Gentlemen Plumbers, a well known plumbing company throughout the province of Alberta announced a unique partnership with the Edmonton Rush lacrosse team and The Little Warriors charity. For every successful Edmonton Rush home game penalty "kill", The Gentlemen Plumbers would donate $100 to Little Warriors.
The Edmonton Rush season has come to a close and there were a total of 23 regular season home game penalty "kills" resulting in a $2300.00 in donation which will be presented on Monday, July 20th at The Gentlemen Plumbers head office in Edmonton (6053 Gateway Blvd.) at 9:00am.
Brham Trim, owner/operator of "The Gentlemen Plumbers", is proud to have an ongoing positive impact in the lives of children who have been mistreated and abused. Last July, The Gentlemen Plumbers donated over $4000.00 to The Little Warriors through what they called their "Random Acts of Kindness" campaign by which a "Gentleman Plumber" sought out unsuspecting guests at the Calgary Stampede and Edmonton K-Days fairgrounds and purchased their food, drinks and ride tickets. For every dollar spent to "make someone's day", The Gentlemen Plumbers matched it in donations.
Trim says his team of plumbers have built up great pride in helping their community and are excited for what's next, "We look forward to organizing more community based events to bring awareness to our favorite charity while putting smiles on people's faces while we do it".
