New messaging app Beekon lets users exchange messages with people around them

TORONTO, Oct. 1, 2014 /CNW/ - A new messaging app, Beekon, has just landed in the App Store, Google Play and Windows Phone Store.  Beekon lets users share short messages with people around them without having to exchange contact information.

When a user posts a message using Beekon, they're sharing a message with anyone within their current location. This includes neighbours, friends, local businesses and anyone else nearby. Messages are restricted to the area in which they're posted. Using geo-fencing, users are able to unlock messages around them by moving closer to a message.
