TORONTO, Nov. 3 /CNW/ - Centennial College's Student Massage Therapy Clinic is offering free massage treatments to infants and expecting mothers during two special clinic days this month.
On Friday, November 6, massage therapy students will be on hand to treat infants, from newborn to 12 months of age, to a relaxing massage that can help colicky and uncomfortable babies. The treatments are about 45 minutes in duration.
On Saturday, November 14, students will be providing a free one-hour massage to women in their second or third trimester of pregnancy. All Centennial Massage Therapy students are supervised by a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT).
Centennial's public clinic offers free therapies from time to time so that students can gain practice time with special clients. The clinic is open to the public and normally charges $30 per hour, a fraction of the commercial rate.
The Student Massage Therapy Clinic is located at the Centennial Science and Technology Centre, 755 Morningside Ave. at Ellesmere in Scarborough.
