LAVAL, QC, April 24, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - Starting today, approximately 100 young amputees will gather to attend The War Amps 2015 CHAMP Seminar for information, counselling and a forum to share advice and concerns.

NEWS CONFERENCE: "Celebrating 40 years of CHAMP!"

(Auteuil-Vimont Room)

CHAMP Director, Louis Bourassa, who lost a leg in a lawnmower accident when he was 4, will reflect on the work accomplished by The War Amps Child Amputee (CHAMP) Program, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. CHAMP Graduate Maxime Pelletier will talk about the importance of computers in the lives of multiple amputee children (Super Champs).

Also, Champs will demonstrate the artificial limbs and devices they use for all sorts of activities.

Overview of artificial limb fittings for infants and toddlers.  This is key for new parents of amputees.

(Terrebonne Room)

A look at several mobile applications and recent computer technology, which can be helpful to Super Champs in their daily lives.
