Media Alert: Tangerine and Canada Basketball Alumni Player Janelle Bekkering Bring #BrightWayForward to 150 Calgary Youth

CALGARY, June 4, 2016 /CNW/ - Tangerine will host its first Community Gym event in Calgary today, alongside former Canada Basketball player and Taber, Alberta-native Janelle Bekkering. As part of its community investment program #BrightWayForward, this Community Gym event will celebrate Tangerine's lasting investment in the Calgary area.

In addition to Bekkering, Tangerine will be joined by its partners, employees and nearly 150 Calgary youth who will be participating in empowerment and basketball skills training run by Basketball Alberta using Steve Nash Youth Basketball curriculum. There will also be an inspiring performance by UNITY Charity, a group dedicated to empowering youth through positive expression.
