Media Advisory - Hydro Ottawa marks 25th anniversary of supporting Special Needs Day at Capital Fair

OTTAWA, ON, Aug. 15, 2025 /CNW/ - Hydro Ottawa Limited will partner with Capital Fair to host Special Needs Day on Tuesday, August 19, 2025. One of the most memorable days of the year, this event gives people with disabilities a chance to enjoy the fair and all it has to offer, including food, entertainment and the largest midway in the National Capital Region. This will be Hydro Ottawa's 25th year supporting the event.

Since 2001, the utility has worked with Capital Fair to make Special Needs Day a reality. This year's private event will feature live entertainment, a BBQ lunch and a sensory-friendly environment, which includes smaller crowds and slower rides to ensure every guest enjoys the experience.

What:	Hydro Ottawa is partnering with Capital Fair and World's Finest Shows Midway to host Special Needs Day, a private day at the fair for children and adults with disabilities, along with their families and  caregivers. This will be Hydro Ottawa's 25th year sponsoring the event.
Why:	Special Needs Day offers a chance for guests to make lasting memories at Capital Fair in a supportive environment. It also presents the opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of accessibility in our community.
When:	Tuesday, August 19, 2025 – 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
	Hydro Ottawa representatives available for interviews from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Where:	Corner of Albion Road South and Rideau Road
	Enter off Albion Road South, half way between the Hard Rock Casino and the intersection of Albion Road South and Rideau Road.
