As Quebec approaches its next general election and prepares the next Quebec Infrastructure Plan (QIP), partners of L'inachevée (The Unfinished One) campaign invite media representatives to attend a press conference calling for the inclusion of the missing 7-kilometre section of Highway 20 among the priorities of the next Government of Quebec.
More than 60 years after Highway 20 first opened, this critical segment remains incomplete between Vaudreuil-Dorion and the Island of Montreal, crossing Île Perrot. Each year, more than 21.5 million vehicles are forced to travel along an urban boulevard controlled by 10 traffic lights. Municipal leaders, representatives of the business community and local citizens will join forces to urge political parties and the next provincial government to move forward with this long-awaited project, in accordance with the recommendations outlined in the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility's most recent opportunity study.
