Media Advisory - 99th anniversary of the Battle of Vimy Ridge

OTTAWA, April 8, 2016 /CNW/ - On behalf of the Honourable Kent Hehr, Minister of Veterans Affairs and Associate Minister of National Defence, Karen McCrimmon, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Veterans Affairs and Member of Parliament for Kanata–Carleton, will join Canadian officials, Embassy of France officials, Veterans, Canadian Armed Forces personnel, youth and cadets in a commemorative wreath-laying ceremony honouring Canadians who fought at Vimy Ridge during the First World War.

The public and media are invited to participate in the commemorative ceremony.
