TORONTO, Aug. 2, 2012 /CNW/ -Canada Health Infoway (Infoway) and Med Access Inc. announced today that Med Access Electronic Medical Record (EMR) version 4 has achieved Infoway's EMR National Class certification, ensuring it conforms to national and international standards for privacy, security and interoperability.
"By achieving Infoway certification, Med Access Electronic Medical Record version 4 has demonstrated conformance with the privacy, security and interoperability standards the marketplace is looking for," said Richard Alvarez, President and CEO, Canada Health Infoway.
In order to achieve certification, Med Access EMR underwent an assessment process to demonstrate that it met or exceeded the standards set by Infoway Certification Services.
