VANCOUVER, Oct. 25, 2017 /CNW/ - Today, Maximizer Services, a leader in personalized CRM, announces the completion of an agreement with UBC's ECE Capstone program, to partner in a 9-month project that will bring cutting-edge research in Artificial Intelligence (AI) to bear on Customer Relationship Management.
"There's a lot of talk in AI about big data and enterprise opportunities. But how do you apply these technical trends to solve real world problems for the majority of the market in the SMB space?" said Maximizer Head of Product Development, Jan Carter. "Our joint focus will be how to make CRM users work smarter day-to-day, and to give users new insights that will help their business."
The Capstone program provides businesses access to world-class research and expertise at UBC's Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE).
A team of UBC students will work with Maximizer Product and Development towards creating a proof of concept, due in April 2018. Students will get an opportunity to put their book smarts into practice and gain valuable work experience. In past years, students have created clever inventions ranging from remote patient monitoring devices – to a "Swing Doctor", deploying pressure sensors and microphones to detect problems with your tennis game.
According to Carter, the UBC team is now brainstorming ideas, with plans to kick off the project in late October. The results of student work will be translated into future capabilities, embedded into Maximizer for the benefit of Maximizer users.
