LeoNovus Launches Remote Support for International and Large Scale Enterprise Clouds
Enables Private and Hybrid LeoNovus Clouds within an Enterprise or Country
SUNNYVALE, Calif., June 23, 2015 /CNW/ -- LeoNovus® Inc. ("LeoNovus") (TSXV: LTV), a leading Internet developer with its geo-distributed Cloud Services, is pleased to announce that it is releasing its new product, International Remote Service Node (RSN). Currently, LeoNovus' Intelligent Network provides the security, communications, services, accounts, operations and data infrastructure for all services in the LeoNovus Distributed Cloud. As the LeoNovus Distributed Cloud begins to connect into large-scale enterprises or domains specific to a country, the RSN enables the LeoNovus services to work in remote locations and on external networks securely.
The RSN maintains the same level of integrity and security as the LeoNovus Central Authority (LCA) as part of the Intelligent Cloud for the remote services. This is achieved from a remote environment, behind a firewall that is inside a private network. With the RSN, the LCA services specific to the LeoNovus partner are supported locally so that it can scale easily because it does not require continuous LCA connectivity and support. This improves performance and security because the remote LCA is behind an enterprise firewall while servicing local accounts, thus allowing partners of LeoNovus to offer its cloud services to their existing customers. This remote service node does connect and check in with the LeoNovus Intelligent cloud for upgrades, continued security and to allow for logging metrics, analytics and audit reporting based on policy settings.
"LeoNovus has received numerous inquiries from countries looking to enable low cost, secure, cloud services," said Gordon Campbell, CEO of LeoNovus. "These countries are experiencing high data growth, however, many do not have reliable power grids and bandwidth infrastructure outside their cities to support the construction of a typical data center. In most cases, their largest cities have high bandwidth and power to support hotels and commercial buildings, which have on-premise computing hardware. The LeoNovus RSN can be operating behind a secure firewall in-country and authenticate these devices onto a high performance secure network to provide low cost, secure, distributed data center services.
We believe that our offering is ideal for these countries especially with existing cloud customers already in need of data management."
This represents a new market opportunity for LeoNovus in partnering with large-scale enterprise or countries that can enable the LeoNovus technology within their networks for deployment of cost efficient, secure, high performance cloud solutions.
