TORONTO, Nov. 27, 2018 /CNW/ - Canada Health Infoway (Infoway) and Intrahealth Canada Limited announced today that Intrahealth Canada, a global software and associated services company, has achieved Infoway's certification under the 2017 Edition of pre-implementation certification requirements.
"Intrahealth Canada is the second organization to achieve certification after meeting Infoway's requirements in the areas of privacy, security and interoperability," said Mark Nenadovic, ACCESS Ecosystem Group Director at Infoway. "Meeting these requirements ensures private and secure standards-based solutions are uniformly applied across the country."
Intrahealth develops leading-edge software for the health care market, with an emphasis on information tools that support delivery integration. The company received certification for its electronic medical record and ambulatory electronic medical record, approved for deployment at customer sites with interoperability capabilities with client registry, laboratory, drug and clinical documents.
Infoway Certification provides assurance that digital health software complies with specified requirements and standards, which helps ensure the protection of personal health information. The 2017 Edition requirements build upon Infoway's original certification requirements and are harmonized to increase alignment between Infoway, provincial requirements and international standards, and to reduce testing redundancies.
