International Flood Control Played by Rules and Respected Integrity of Procurement Process

CALGARY, Jan. 29, 2016 /CNW/ - International Flood Control (IFC) remained in full compliance with the rules when its world-renowned flood control and prevention equipment was purchased to help Manitoba First Nations affected by major flooding.

"IFC has worked with the Manitoba government many times before, and we have always followed the rules and respected the tendering process. We won that contract fair and square through a competitive and fully transparent procurement process and we have twice been cleared of any wrongdoing by Manitoba officials," said IFC president Paul Vickers.

The integrity of the procurement process related to the purchase of Tiger Dams has been verified by Manitoba's Auditor General. Earlier this month, the Manitoba Ombudsman also released its final report on the investigation into the procurement process, which exonerated IFC.
