MONTRÉAL, Sept. 24, 2026 /CNW/ -- From October 1 to 31, Halloween festivities are back at the Jardin botanique. For the entire month of October, Espace pour la vie and Kalbacius the sorcerer invite you to discover the magic of seeds in an exciting and slightly spooky (but not too spooky!) atmosphere surrounded by gigantic decorations!
In an environment that was designed for young kids, visitors of all ages are invited to discover nature's magic and harness their own creativity through activities and games.

Learn the art of sorcery
The Main Exhibition Greenhouse at the Jardin botanique has been transformed! Traces of magic, enchanted gourds, and an incredible seed collection suggest that Kalbacious has been by. The sorcerer and his sidekick pétiole invite you to join them as they share their passion for plants and seeds.
Help create baby monsters
Help Kalbacius fill his world with baby plant monsters. In this creative workshop, you'll get to dream up and create plant-inspired creatures. Leaves, branches, seeds, and pine needles will be provided so you can create the most extraordinary creatures.
Venture into a monster-filled labyrinth
Kalbacius' enchanted labyrinth houses the most incredible and out-of-control creatures. Do you have the guts to find where they are hiding? Keep your eyes peeled as you head out to search for them--and watch out for optical illusions!
Face your fears with the Même pas peur! show (in French only)
You and your kids (ages 4 to 8) are invited to face your fears alongside Blandine, the sweet pattypan squash.
