Golder Associates Employee Recognized as "Rising Star" in Oil and Gas Industry
CALGARY, May 1, 2012 /CNW/ - Laureen Bryant of Golder Associates Ltd. has been named to Oilweek magazine's prestigious Rising Stars list for 2012.
Bryant started with Golder Associates nine years ago as an archaeologist and has recently been appointed group manager for the company's oil sands and mining groups within its Environmental Project Management (EPM) Division. According to Oilweek, she is a professional "standing tall in the Canadian energy industry".
"This recognition was a complete surprise to me and an incredible honour," says Bryant. "It's always nice when your own company recognizes you, but it's extra special when members of the industry recognize your effort as well."
Senior leadership at Golder Associates is understandably proud of Bryant's contributions to the company and the expertise she delivers to clients. "We are very pleased that Oilweek has chosen to include Laureen Bryant on this year's list of their rising stars," says Mark Brightman, President of Golder in Canada. "She truly exemplifies Golder's core values and our client-focused approach. Laureen is a tremendous asset not only to Golder, but to the entire oil sands and mining industries. We congratulate her on this important recognition."
As an active participant in local Calgary charities, Bryant was pleased that her fellow honorees shared her passion for giving back to their communities. "I particularly appreciate the emphasis Oilweek placed on community involvement and charitable causes in their selection process" she explains. "I think that should be an important part of everyone's professional career."
