MUNICH and MONTRÉAL, Feb. 16, 2026 /CNW/ - ALL IN, Canada's largest artificial intelligence (AI) and technology event, today announced that Germany has been selected as the Country of Honour for ALL IN 2026, taking place September 16-17 in Montréal. This designation reinforces ALL IN's role as a platform where international partnerships take shape and deals get done.
The Honourable Evan Solomon, Canada's Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Innovation, and Karsten Wildberger, Germany's Minister for Digital Transformation and Government Modernisation, formalized the announcement following their meeting at the margins of the 2026 Munich Security Conference. As part of its participation as the ALL IN 2026 Country of Honour, Germany will have a prominent presence onsite with a dedicated Country Pavilion to showcase the country's leading AI and technology companies, SMEs, and industrial innovators, fostering fruitful relationships with Canadian innovators.
The fourth edition of ALL IN will convene more than 7,500 business leaders from 40 countries, once again surpassing last year's attendance, and feature 260 world-class speakers. As a global hub where business, technology, government, and academic leaders converge to shape the conversations driving Canada's AI-powered economy, ALL IN's previous Countries of Honour were France in 2024 and the United Arab Emirates in 2025. Both nominations delivered concrete outcomes, from signed commercial agreements to lasting partnerships, reinforcing Canada's standing as a trusted partner and catalyst for international AI collaboration.
AI is increasingly central to economic competitiveness and national security, reshaping the global economy. Against that backdrop, Canada and Germany are underscoring a shared conviction: middle powers must work together with trusted international partners to shape AI that is innovative, impactful, secure, and responsible. By strengthening bilateral cooperation through ALL IN 2026, both countries signal their intent to translate shared values into practical business collaboration across research, industry, and infrastructure. With 60% of event participants being AI adopters and 40% being AI providers, ALL IN provides a unique balance to forge business deals and drive AI adoption across multiple industries.
Building on the Canada-Germany Digital Alliance
Today's announcement builds upon the Canada-Germany Digital Alliance, announced during the G7 Industry, Digital and Technology Ministers' Meeting in Montréal last December, and reflects a shared ambition to accelerate cooperation on AI, digital sovereignty, digital infrastructure, quantum technologies, and partnerships between startups, technology providers and established companies.
Germany is one of Europe's leading AI ecosystems, combining strong research capacity with applied innovation. National priorities include opening new markets for German companies, strengthening global competitiveness, and securing Germany's future as an industrial base. Building on its strong position in Industry 4.0, the next wave of manufacturing transformation, Germany's AI strategy aims to advance its leadership in physical AI applications in industrial settings and to ensure that companies of all sizes--from startups and SMEs to large corporations--move beyond adoption toward development and integration of AI into business processes. It also supports a European response to data-driven business models and data-driven value creation that aligns with Europe's economic, values-based, and social model.
Germany's role as Country of Honour at ALL IN 2026 marks a new phase in Canada-Germany collaboration, bringing businesses from both countries together in Montréal to build partnerships that will help shape the future of AI-driven industries.
