TORONTO, April 17, 2014 /CNW/ - Mackenzie Financial Corporation (Mackenzie Investments) today announced mergers affecting three separate funds and a sub-advisor change to another. These four funds are distributed exclusively through Quadrus Investment Services Ltd.
The merging funds are:
- Focused Canadian Equity Fund (CGOV) into Focused Canadian Equity Class (CGOV)
- International Equity Fund (Putnam) into International Equity Class (Putnam)
- Global Equity Fund (Setanta) into Global Equity Class (Setanta)
The mergers are expected to occur on or about June 25, 2014. The mergers were reviewed and approved by the Independent Review Committee (IRC) of the Mackenzie Funds on April 16, 2014. Investors in each terminating fund will be provided a 60 day written notice before the merger.
U.S. Value Class (Eaton Vance) will be renamed U.S. Value Class (Putnam), and the new sub-advisor will be The Putnam Advisory Company LLC. This change is effective on or about June 27, 2014.
