                               vicinity planned

TORONTO, Sept. 23 /CNW Telbec/ - Cadillac Fairview's Promenade Shopping Centre has signed Mary Kitchen to be the shopping centre's official "Fashion Guru." The Fashion Television In Fashion host will make impromptu community appearances to promote the recent renovation and the centre's revamped image. After a $46 million overhaul, Promenade is now the premier stylish, fashionable shopping destination for the Vaughan community.

"I am proud to be representing Promenade as their Fashion Guru. This is a great opportunity to connect with the community and reintroduce people to the fabulous world of fashion available at Promenade," said Mary Kitchen.

As the Fashion Guru, Mary Kitchen will be appearing at surprise locations in the Promenade vicinity to engage the community in conversation about all the revamped Promenade has to offer. A team of brand ambassadors will accompany the Fashion Guru and distribute Promenade shop! cards of unknown value. Consumers will be encouraged to redeem their gift cards at Promenade to discover how much their card is worth.

"The Fashion Guru initiative promotes the stylish, fashionable image of Promenade and offers our shoppers access to personalities who are at the forefront of fashion," said Donna Rosati, Marketing Director. "We chose Mary Kitchen as our Fashion Guru because she is a true fashion authority and represents what Promenade has to offer."

The first Fashion Guru appearance will take place at 10:30am on September 24th at York University and then at the LCBO adjacent to Promenade. The second appearance will take place on October 1st. A media alert with time and location for the October 1st appearance will be announced in advance.

Promenade has recently undergone a major facelift that has transformed the shopping centre into a stylish, family-friendly shopping destination. Improvements include a complete aesthetic redesign, exciting new retailers, updated food court and focus on customer service. These elements have revitalized the mall with the goal of appealing to a wide spectrum of age groups and style preferences.
